Install Paw Player on Fire TV

Five quick steps using the free Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore. Takes about two minutes.

Install the Downloader app

From the Fire TV home screen, search the Amazon Appstore for Downloader (by AFTVnews). It is free and approved by Amazon. Install it.

Allow installs from unknown sources

On your Fire TV: Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install Unknown Apps. Find Downloader in the list and turn it on.

Open Downloader and enter the URL

Launch Downloader. In the URL field, type: pawplayer.app/firetv.apk

Then press Go. The APK will download.

Install Paw Player

When the download finishes, Fire TV will prompt you to install. Press Install, wait a few seconds, then Done.

Launch and activate

Go to Your Apps & Channels on the Fire TV home screen. Paw Player will be there. Open it, follow the on-screen QR code to activate, and you are done.

No Developer Options? On newer Fire TVs it is hidden: go to Settings → My Fire TV → About, select your Fire TV's name 7 times, then go back. Developer Options now appears.

Updates: Just repeat steps 3 and 4 with the same URL — Downloader will fetch the latest version. You can delete the old APK file from Downloader's storage after install to save space.
